coldplay vs radiohead

i like coldplay better as they came along at a better time, radiohead
had a great release with ok computer but the 2 before were too grungy
for me, the 2 after were too way out for me and their last was back to
the old way.

I can understand where the Coldplay as the 'next U2' come from, but I don't
understand the comparison many make with Radiohead, despite the fact that
Coldplay are influenced by them. They really are nothing alike.

Radiohead have made three great albums in The Bends, OK Computer & Kid A.
Pablo Honey was okay as a debut. Amnesiac is nothing more than a collection
of songs that should have been b-sides (with a few exceptions) if Radiohead
actually released any singles from Kid A. Hail To The Thief, outside of a
few monster tracks, is crapola.
